But possibly this adds somewhat to its beauty – because we not only have a high regard for it for the pleasure it gives us when we see wonderfully worked satin stitch, but, when we know what goes into it, we can truly be thankful for the “art” behind the sewing.
Don’t let this discourage you if you are a beginner! In concept, satin stitch is very easy. It just takes a little practice to get the boundaries right and to gauge the distance between your stitches.
