Under what circumstances might each sentence have been said?


Rules for using full Stops, Questions Marks and Exclamation Marks


Rules:1 Use a full stop to close a declarative sentences (i..e. a sentence which makes a statement).


Rule:2 Use a full stop to close an imperative sentence (i.e. one which commands, makes a request to which an answer is taken for granted, or entreats).


Rules:3 Use a full after abbreviations or initials.


Rules:4 Use a full stop to indicate a decimal fraction or dollars and cents.


Rules:5 Use a question mark to close an interrogative statement (i.e. one which asks a question).


Rules:6 Use an exclamation mark to close an exclamatory sentence (i.e one which expresses sudden or strong emotion).

NOTE: Declarative, imperative, or interrogative sentences may become exclamatory if spoken with strong feeling.
